Showtime- Where I Got My Name

SEE IF YOU CAN FEEL WHAT I FELT.

I was in a Captain’s Choice Tournament, on a green , 30 feet from an EAGLE.

I got set to putt.

Then relaxed,
turned to the crowd, and said:

“IT’S SHOWTIME,”

I got set again,
brought the club back,
made sure the club head was on the planned path,
started my famous, Wrist-Locked, forward motion,
watched my YELLOW ball make the calculated breaks,
making its” CA- P LUNK “ on its last possible roll,
igniting the silent WELL-WISHERS with CHEERS of:
“SHOWTIME, SHOWTIME, SHOWTIME.”

Two years later, in Quincy’s, a Grandmother pointed to me and said,
"There is Mr. Charles Watson,”

The Grandson said “Naugh it ain’t—That’s "SHOWTIME.”

SEE IF YOU CAN FEEL WHAT I FELT.

Will Not Forget This Scene

Page 2
The ball rolled past the sandtrap on the left, rolled up onto the green pin high, but 3 feet to the left, took a 90 degree turn and traveled that 3 feet into the hole, never touching the metal flag stick.

A HOLE- IN- ONE !!!

Exciting Golf

I JUST FELT GOOD ABOUT THE DAY
FEBRUARY 11 , 2002

First I woke and warmed my computer-Landed my Lear Jet perfectly at O’Hare. Bowled 212 .

Had breakfast with an interesting young lady

Found 2 wheat coppers in two different parking lots
Turn them to heads for the next man.

Read my, could do no wrong, Horoscope

Was asked to join two Baptist preachers at the third hole at Cypress Creek Golf Course.

At 2:15 pm I had the Honor and stepped to the Sixteenth tee.

Pulled out my 5- Wood, practiced my swing, gripped my club. Started my "Count-down." At the count of 3 I was at the top of my backswing.
I started through my forward motion and at the count of five shifted my weight properly to release my powerful body weight, and contacted the ball on the count of 6 , never taking my eyes off the TOP-FLITE. I continued the count through 8 to remind me to follow through in the plane that was dead on the pin.
